Cecile is the Director of Bioprocess at VVector Bio. Prior to that, she served as Lead Scientist for Upstream Process development and cGMP manufacturing at Biodextris. Before that, she assumed a position at Vivalis (France) in the Upstream Process development Department. Overall, Cecile has deep expertise in process control, scale-up (3 to 200L) and cGMP tech transfer of various recombinant proteins and vaccine manufacturing. She has in depth experience with industrial cell lines like CHO, HEK293, EB66 cells cultured in suspension, batch, fed-batch or perfusion mode at various scales. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry obtained at Montreal University where she gained profound skills in cell line development and metabolic engineering. Her work was focused on understanding and exploiting cell metabolism shift mechanisms to improve cell productivity. She notably developed and established a genetically engineered CHO cell line. She completed her training with postdoctoral research at the Viral Vector and Bioprocessing Department of McGill University where she focused on optimization of Influenza virus production and purification.
