Alina is the Chief Executive Officer of VVector Bio Inc. a company focused on providing services to custom design and manufacture viral vectors to support R&D and preclinical studies for cell and gene therapy. Alina completed her Ph.D. degree from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in the Department of Chemical Engineering improving the manufacturing process of an influenza vaccine based on virus-like particles pseudotyped with the gag protein of lentivirus HIV-1. She continued her research training as a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Bioengineering at McGill University. Prior to VVector Bio Inc., Alina was founder and Chief Bioengineering Officer of Cura Therapeutics, a start-up biotech company focused on developing innovative immunotherapies to cure cancer. As part of Cura Therapeutics, she was part of the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship where she completed the McGill Lean Startup Program and the McGill X-1 Accelerator 10-weeks intensive training for entrepreneurs.
